Suns, Stars, and Moons... Oh My!

Oh my!

I am slacking a bit with my blog duties!

How are you?

Life is good here. I have been quite busy preparing for the show, which is this weekend.

It seems that my last owl assortment was a hit so I now have an "assembly line" of owls, in an array of colors, on my work table.

Many stars have appeared in my paintings.

Along with moons...

Half moons.

Balloon moons.

Something very exciting has happened this week!

The sun has been making appearances every so often!

On this morning, I grabbed my camera and captured it rising.

And, I'm thrilled to report that today it will be 72 degrees here! That should melt the remaining traces of snow on our prairie land.

I really should spend some time outdoors but with the show now only days away, I best work a little more...

But possibly this evening I will enjoy sitting on the patio to greet the moon and stars.

Wishing you a beautiful day!

See you soon!

Love You To The Moon...

February!

The love month.

I did not get around to posting a traditional red, pink, and white blog post. Of course, it was on my mind, but I was busy painting in blues, purple, and gold.

Keeping odd hours around here. Enjoying the light of the moon.

And since hubby and I celebrated Valentine's Day early so that he could take off for a trip...

it came and went so quickly. I did not even get out all of our glittery heart decorations for the home. Instead, I kissed him goodbye and I continued to paint moons.

Large canvases.

Itty bitty canvases.

And ornaments galore!

After sharing some pics on my "Missy Trent Art & Offerings" Facebook page, all but two of the ornaments sold, along with both tiny canvases! So...

I think that I will be painting more moons this week!

Still trying to decide what kind of ribbon to add to the ornaments. I'm quite fond of this sparkly moon yarn!

So, we are certainly feeling the love here. To the moon and back!

I do hope that you had a nice Valentine's Day and that you have been showered with love!

Blessings to you!

XO

Baby Hung the Moon...

Hello!

Happy December!!!!

I do hope that you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

We sure did. It's always nice to return to the place that was home to me, for 45 years. I always wish that I had more time to visit with family and friends. I dream of one day owning a little house in my home town, where I may return... bringing tons of art supplies, and stay for a month at a time. Maybe it will happen?

We are now back home, on the prairie, and back into our normal routine. He goes to work...

I go to work work...

Only these days I work in my art studio and I couldn't be happier!

Today I completed these:

"Baby Hung The Moon" ornaments.

What a labor of love.

I even sculpted and glittered each tiny moon!

I'm done for the day. (With ornaments, that is). There's always house to tend to and meals to make. Yesterday I kept my word to hubby...

And baked him some real cupcakes!

Not bad, huh?!!!

Words cannot even begin to express my joy! I absolutely love being at home. Being a wife and being an artist are my most fulfilling roles in this life. I no longer have the stress, anxiety, and depression that came with my former day job. I feel so alive and can't wait to get out of bed each morning to work... As an artist.

At age 48...

At this moment, I can honestly say that I have everything that I have ever wanted. (Except for the little house in my home town). Lol.

Not the material things...

But the things that truly matter to me.

Blessed.

Wishing the same for each one of you.

Live your dreams!

XO

Tiny Faces...

Oh, my!

It's been a few days since I have blogged! Time sure slips away when you are having fun, doesn't it?

Yesterday I did have to attend a work related meeting, but just as soon as it ended, my co-workers and I did some shopping in the city and had a wonderful lunch!

It really hit me...

Very soon, I will be back to work and art time will be limited. I panic! Really, I do!

So, today I did assembly line art!

Oodles and oodles of tiny faces on those tiny canvases!

Layers and layers of luscious, acrylic paint!

So very time consuming and only one canvas completed!

This will be an on going project, but really enjoyable.

It's been raining here again! Happy gardens!

Healthy plants.

Our weather radio went off at about 3:00 this morning. I heard the man's voice say, "severe thunderstorms with powerful winds". I jumped up and dashed out to the patio...

In the darkness, I was moving potted plants and decorative patio accents...

In Kansas, powerful winds are serious!

Once I was safely back inside...

I heard it.

In the nick of time, I rescued the plants and glass candle holders!

Swoooooooosh.

What a storm it was!

How is the weather in your area?

Until next time...

XO
